Here's a good reason to stay and watch all of the credits after movies: you never know whom you might have missed.

My mom and I saw "Catch Me if You Can" today, which was GREAT, at least to a fan of Henry Mancini-esque scores and awesomely creative opening titles. (The writing, acting, directing, and editing were terrific too, but I expected nothing less from a Steven Spielberg flick with a John Williams soundtrack.)

Anyhoo, I spotted none other but the delightful Amy Acker in the credits, and now I'll have to go back and see the whole thing again to try and spot her. (For you non-Angel fans, Amy Acker plays Fred on that series, and shes cuter n a button.) She plays "Miggy Acker." The characters last name is odd not only for the match, but also because the movie credits didn't give Miggy a last name. (The source here is IMDb.)

In more name-spotting delight, though this has nothing to do with anything, Kitty Carlisle Hart played herself in the opening scene. The scene is the talk show To Tell The Truth, and apparently they split stock footage with footage of DiCaprio, because Mrs. Hart actually was the only panelist to remain on the show for its full run (so says IMDb). I recently saw a play at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, written by her husband Moss Hart about SIXTY years ago, and one of the actors (John Aylward, known for brief stints on ER) commented on her presence in the audience. She stood to accept a standing ovation.

And she's in THIS movie. Small world, huh?

Furthermore, the man on which the movie is based, Frank W. Abagnale, plays a French policeman. He obviously has a great sense of humor playing one of the guys who caught him.
